It's Passion Week!

It is Passion Week! A week that most of us commemorate and celebrate what Jesus did for us some 2,000 years ago.
'No one who remains in Him keeps on sinning..." (1 John 3:6). God's grace through Jesus Christ is beyond description. We are grateful for the price He paid for our salvation and our restoration.

This past Sunday was Palm Sunday. It is interesting to study the palm tree. There are over 3,000 species of palms and one of the most common observations is that in storms they are the one tree that bends but doesn't break. They are created to undergo stress under us and thrive even in difficult climates.

So it is with us. God's grace is sufficient for us to thrive in difficult times and even provide sustenance or fruit for others. My desire as a pastor is that each of us would go deeper like the roots of a palm tree, especially this week. May we determine in our hearts to become all that God has ended us to be. In Ephesians 2:10 it says that we are his workmanship or his masterpiece created to do good things. Let's become all God intended us to be.

Here is just a quick reminder of the activities at our church this week:

Wednesday
- 6:30 p.m. | Documentary on Derek's journey through the valley.

Friday
- 7:00 p.m. | Good Friday service with communion.

Sunday
- 8:45 a.m. | Easter egg hunt for the children.
- 9:00 a.m. | Breakfast for everyone.
- 10:00 a.m. | Easter service with special music included.

May God bless you richly as each of you pursue His presence. Spend time with God alone and bring what you have learned to the greater body of Christ. Let's be a church like the 2nd chapter of Acts.

For the Lamb,
Pastor Derek
