“Come to the Table” Women’s Bible Study — Sunday, September 6, 5 p.m.
Women of all ages, you’re invited to our monthly women’s Bible study, “Come to the Table,” at 5–7 p.m. on Sunday, September 6, at the Forseths’ house (for the address, see Krista). We will focus on Chapter 7 (“God Is in the Hard”) of our book, Faith, Doubt, and God’s Mysterious Timing.
For our meal we will have homemade soup, along with salad and rolls. If you are interested in making a dessert, let Krista know. Due to limited parking, please work together to carpool. If you require space in the driveway for handicapped parking, please let Krista know ahead of time.

Our free annual comedy night will be held on September 12 at 7pm PST. You will be able to attend online or in person.

Don’t Lose Heart

The Word of God tells us not to lose heart, for though outwardly we are wasting away, inwardly we are being renewed day by day (2 Corinthians 4:16).

So many things in life tear us down or hold us back from walking in our purpose. Many people quit before their destination is reached, or they allow circumstances to distract them from their focus.

God has given us all we need to be involved in all we do. So let’s remember that inwardly we are being renewed on a daily basis.

Come and join us and be ENCOURAGED in your walk, your decisions, and the part that you can play in helping others find hope in Christ Jesus.

Through the Valley: A story of God’s faithfulness 
Pastor Derek’s life suddenly changed on Christmas morning 2019, when he was admitted to Swedish Hospital and began a harrowing five-year journey that has touched lives all over the world.
In 2024, a small team from Philadelphia Church led by Pastor Derek Forseth and Randall Kollie traveled to Liberia to reconnect with and build upon a rich history of PC missions there that had begun in 1949. During that trip, Randall, with the help of Pastor Derek, founded Empower Young Minds, a nonprofit focused on education for underprivileged children.
