PC Update

Dear PC family,

Christmas seemed to come and go pretty quietly to end 2020... January 6th in our nation's capital we saw turbulence and chaos and it was and is very disheartening. The events of this last year up till now, bring a deep sense of sadness. We are in dark times indeed.
I am reminded of the words in Hebrews 12 "Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. And we do this by fixing our eyes on the author and perfector of our faith." It is not time to look to others or the things of this Earth for answers. We look to Jesus.
The theme for 2021 is "In Your presence there is fullness of joy" (Psalm 16: 11).  We can only find true Joy in the Lord. Our circumstances and the things of this life cannot bring us the same kind of fulfillment that we find in Jesus.
On a brighter note, I am really encouraged by the great turnout for our class on "1 & 2 Thessalonians and Current Events" on Wednesday night. I am also encouraged by the great response during and after the service Sunday morning to the question "Are You Ready?" (Jesus is coming back).
Thank you to all of you for your faithfulness in prayers, giving and encouragement to one another. Let us show love for one another like never before and let us come together in unity to spread the GOOD NEWS.
God has us all here "for such a time as this." May we keep our focus on the Lord and may we be used as instruments of peace.
